Group Classes
We offer seasonal Puppy Classes and other in-person classes in the Chequamegon Bay Area of Northern Wisconsin. If you do not see a book-able class below, it is because they are full or have already started and we do not have session dates set for a future class at this time. If you’d like to be the first to know of new in-person opportunities, please be sure to join our e-newsletter list here. We always email out new classes to this list first before we publish to social media.
Q: What if I’m getting a puppy or already have a puppy and need help now?
Check out our FIKA Puppy Package, which delivers all the content of our Puppy Foundations class but in 1:1 training format.
We'll we make sure you’re not only ready to bring your new family member home, but the first few weeks are a success. This package covers concepts you’ll want to be ready to implore on Day 1 as well as checklists for supplies if needed. Already have puppy? No worries! We can tailor our time together to grow Optimism, Confidence and Calm in your puppy, just like we would if we were in an in-person class. We're happy to work with you and your pup even if they have already been home a few days, weeks (or months) and can customize the package for you. This package includes:
1, 90 minute consult (in-person subject to location);
followed by 2, 30 minute virtual consults or 1, 60 minute follow-up if in-person is preferred;
e-books and worksheets to help with toilet training and common puppy struggles;
unlimited messenger or email support while we work together.
Q: I have an older dog and want to get them in classes, but actually they are a bit reactive/scared/nervous (fill in the blank) how do you work with those dogs?
A: We offer Transformation Plans that are great for older dogs with struggles.
Group classes can actually be quite stressful for dogs, especially dogs who don’t have the skills to handle those kinds of situations. A Transformation Plan allows us to hone in on the concepts your dog could use help with, including discussion of management tips and techniques that can be implemented on day 1. During our time working together, we encourage clients to use Facebook messenger to send videos of training session highlights. Many of the games only need a few minutes each day.
This package includes 3-4 sessions over the course of 4-6 weeks, depending on time and availability;
We start with a 90 minute initial consult to really get the history on your dog and your current top struggle (in-person, subject to location);
We will ask you to fill out a behavior questionnaire ahead of time which helps us prepare.
